Please read this before bringing your pet to their appointment.

Care of your Pets

Pawfect Style Pet Salon’s number one priority is to ensure that your pet has an enjoyable and positive experience while being groomed. We will put your pet’s best interests and wellbeing first, and ensure they are always safe and comfortable.


Although Pawfect Style Pet Salon use extreme caution and care when grooming your pet, accidents can happen. These include (but are not limited to): cuts, nicks, scratches and quicking of the nails. In most cases, this can happen when a pet is wiggling or moving around. In the event an accident does occur, you will be notified. If Pawfect Style Pet Salon feels the injury requires urgent veterinary attention, we will seek immediate veterinary care for your pet. If the accident is directly caused by Pawfect Style Pet Salon’s actions, we will pay for the veterinary bills.
If your pet has an allergic reaction to a product that you have told us they are allergic to, Pawfect Style Pet Salon will take full responsibility for any veterinarian or medical costs.

Emergencies/Vet Treatment

By signing this form, the pet’s owner gives Pawfect Style Pet Salon full authorization to seek medical treatment from the nearest licensed veterinarian in the case of a medical emergency.
The pet’s owner agrees to pay all costs for medical treatment provided by the veterinarian, unless the injury or illness is a direct result of Pawfect Style Pet Salon’s actions.
Medical concerns relating to a pet that has visited Pawfect Style Pet Salon must be communicated to Pawfect Style Pet Salon within 48 hours of their appointment. Failure to communicate these concerns within 48 hours clears Pawfect Style Pet Salon of any fault or responsibility.
If you believe that a medical issue has arisen as a result of your pet being at Pawfect Style Pet Salon, you must visit a veterinarian and get a written statement stating the cause of the medical issue. If the veterinarian states that there is no one cause of the medical issue or cannot state with absolute certainty that the medical issue is a result of actions taken by Pawfect Style Pet Salon, then Pawfect Style Pet Salon have no liability to pay any veterinarian visit or compensation.

Late Pick Up

Pawfect Style Pet Salon offer for you to either book an appointment throughout the day, or to drop off your pet in the morning and pick up in the evening. We ask that you follow the below pick up times:

Drop off in the morning/pick up in the evening: pick up by 6pm.

Appointments throughout the day: pick up within 30 minutes of us contacting you.

Charges may apply if you are late picking up your pet. If you are more than an hour late picking up your pet, a day care charge will be applied.

Late To Appointment

Should you be running late for an appointment, please contact us. If you are later than 30 minutes to your appointment, we may charge late fees or refuse service and reschedule the groom.

Use Of Photographs

Your pet may be photographed before, during and after its groom to assist us in future grooms. We may also use some photos for promotional purposes and/or to post to our social media sites. Please let us know by indicating above if you do not wish for your pets’ photo to be used or to be made public.

Matted Policy

At Pawfect Style Pet Salon we always ensure that your pet is safe, comfortable and enjoys their time at the salon. For this reason, we refuse to de-matt excessively matted dogs as matt removal can be very painful and stressful for your pet. On your pet’s arrival at the salon, we will advise you if we can brush out any matts/knots or if the matts will need to be shaved out. If we feel at any time that your pet is becoming too stressed or is in pain while brushing out matts, we will cut out or shave the matts. If your pet needs to be shaved to remove matting, you acknowledge that you agree to this procedure and any risk presented.
Extra charges may apply for pets who present with matting and for brushing out of matts/knots.
The owners of pets who present with matted/knotted coats understand the risks involved with grooming/shaving their pets coat. These risks include, but are not limited to: Cuts, nicks, cuts or abrasions to moles and warts, skin irritations, wounds on the skin from bacteria growth due to heavy matting, skin allergies, hair loss, patchiness, clipper burn, itchiness, skin redness and exposure of pre-existing conditions.

Late Cancellations

Pawfect Style Pet Salon understands that emergencies occur which means that you cannot always make your scheduled appointment. We request that you give us at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations, reschedules or changes to your appointment. Failure to give us 24 hours’ notice may result in a late cancellation fee added to your next appointment. Multiple cancellations may result in the refusal of services.
If you have not attempted to contact us and do not attend your appointment, you may be charged a ‘no-show’ fee of the total price of what your pet was booked in for.

Aggressive/Dangerous/Difficult Pets

Owners must inform Pawfect Style Pet Salon if your pet has a tendency to bite, especially during specific grooming procedures and/or if they have been aggressive to people and/or other pets.
Muzzles may be used if necessary, for the safety of your pet and the groomer. Wearing a muzzle may result in the face of your pet not being finished, but we will try our best.  A handling fee may apply when grooming aggressive or difficult pets.
Pawfect Style Pet Salon reserves the right to refuse any aggressive or dangerous pets. This is to ensure the safety of your pet, Pawfect Style Pet Salon staff and other pets in the salon.
Pawfect Style Pet Salon also reserves the right to stop the grooming process at any time should a pet become aggressive to the point of being a danger to staff or to his or herself. Full or part of the grooming charge may apply.
If your pet should bite a Pawfect Style Pet Salon staff member and cause damage needing medical attention, you agree to be responsible for any related medical bills.


All pets visiting Pawfect Style Pet Salon will require a current vaccination certificate (certifying that the vaccination was administered within the preceding 12 months). Puppies under the age of 16 weeks will need to have had at least their first two vaccinations.


If we find that your pet has fleas, your pet will be washed with flea shampoo and you will be charged an extra $5-$10 depending on the size of the pet. The flea shampoo only kills adult fleas present on the dog at the time, so when you get home your pet will need other flea prevention such as Advantage, Revolution, etc.


Although we endeavour to provide you with an accurate price for your pet’s groom, these prices are estimates and may increase/decrease depending on your pet and their condition.
Extra charges may apply for things such as (but not limited to): Coat condition, matting, extra brushing, skin conditions, fleas, scared and aggressive dogs, special handling needs, demeanour of pet and special requests made by owner.

Pre-Existing Conditions

You have disclosed above and will continue to disclose any and all medical, behaviour or other conditions or personality changes that may affect your pet’s ability to be groomed.
The grooming process may expose pre-existing health/skin conditions and other concerns, unforeseen to us and for which we cannot be liable. These conditions and concerns may include: nervousness, fear aggression, heart conditions, joint sensitivity, allergies, skin problems, clipper sensitivity, behavioural issues, seizures, matting, fleas, moles, lumps, etc. Pawfect Style Pet Salon will inform owners if any concerns arise throughout the grooming process.

Refusal Of Service

Pawfect Style Pet Salon reserves the right to refuse any client due to previous history such as, but not limited to: aggressive pet, abusive customers, last-minute cancellations, no shows, etc.

Ceasing of Services

If at any time your pet becomes too stressed or dangerous to groom, Pawfect Style Pet Salon reserves the right to refuse, stop or cancel services at any time before, during, or after grooming. Grooming fees may still be applied for the services rendered until that point. Pawfect Style Pet Salon may also skip stressful procedures such as nails trims on a stressful animal to keep them happy and comfortable.

Pregnant Dogs

Pawfect Style Pet Salon accepts pregnant dogs for grooming at the owner’s risk. Dogs in late pregnancy will need written approval from their veterinarian before they can be groomed by us.
We do not accept dogs on heat for grooming services.

Payment Of Services

The pet’s owner agrees to pay for all grooming services deemed necessary by us for the wellbeing of the pet. Payment is required on pick up of your pet, by either cash or EFTPOS.

Owners Staying at Salon

In most cases we ask that the pet’s owner not stay at the salon while their pet is being groomed, however, we may ask the owner to stay to assist aggressive/nervous dogs.


Pawfect Style Pet Salon will not groom pets that have been sedated. If your pet needs to be sedated to be groomed, we recommend that they are groomed in a veterinary clinic where they can be closely monitored.

Customer Satisfaction

The satisfaction of our customers is very important to us. If you are unhappy for any reason with your pet’s groom, please call us within 24 hours of picking up your pet and we will make arrangements for you to come back to the salon to alter the groom.
